Central Ohio is home to some great golf courses including – Muirfield Village Golf Club which is home to the PGA’s Memorial Tournament every spring.
In the April 21-27 edition of Columbus Business First, Robin Smith compiled the top central Ohio golf courses based on USGA slope rating from the most difficult tee. Of the 23 listed an amazing 11 of them were located in Delaware County, Ohio.

While this list includes 11 golf courses, we found twenty total courses in the greater Delaware area including the 9-hole Hidden Valley Golf Course on Delaware’s west side.

Private vs. Public Course
While all the golf courses on the list in Delaware County are private, that doesn’t mean the list was entirely private. The list was dominated by private and semi-private courses with only six public courses making the list. The Players Club at Foxfire in Commercial Point, Ohio, is the top-ranked public course in fourth place, and Lancaster Golf Club in Lancaster, Ohio, was the4 only other one to break the top 10.
