Delaware Restaurant Opens on Lake Street at 11 a.m.
Smash Shack Burger Company will be opening its doors today, September 6, at 11 a.m. for the first time.
The restaurant is located at 81 Lake Street – at the intersection with Central Avenue – on Delaware’s east side. The location has been home to several pizza shops and most recently was a BBQ joint.
The restaurant boasts fresh never frozen burger patties, with a single ($5.99) or a double ($9.49) with American-style cheese, shaved lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Chimney Sauce, and a potato bun. Turn a double into a meal with waffle fries and a soda for $14.49.
The menu also includes hot dogs ($3.99) and chili dogs ($5.49) that can also be made into a meal. They also have fresh never-frozen wings that come in sizes of 6, 10, 20, or 40 for your enjoyment.
The location has limited parking and getting in and out has always been a challenge at this busy intersection. Smash Shack Burger Company has added online ordering to help limit the congestion. There is no interior seating but a few picnic tables will be available outside.
Stop by and check it out and let us know what you think.
