UPDATED (June 18): It appears the new restaurant is close to opening. Check out our update!
12 West William Street in historic downtown Delaware, Ohio, appears to have a return to a previous concept coming to the community.
A Google page has appeared for Lazy Dawg, a self-described bar, in the downtown location. There is a blank Facebook page for the business. The only information included is the following statement:
“We are a perfect place to enjoy a delicious hot dog with friends and family. Our menu features a wide variety of hot dogs, from classic to creative, that are sure to satisfy your cravings. We use only the freshest ingredients to create our signature hot dogs, and we offer a range of toppings to customize your meal. Don’t visit them quite yet, as the business is still dark. Longer-term Delaware residents will recall that about 15 years ago this location was home to another hot dog business — Gulla’s Hot Dogs. Gulla’s was an off-shoot of the Gulla Lunch in Bellaire, Ohio, and had a strong following in the Delaware community. Which could bode well for another hot dog-themed restaurant.
The location was originally home to the Pizza Villa before it moved to the current Donoto’s location. The building has been home to Fiesta Mexico, 12 West, Queso Fuego, and Gulla’s over the years since Pizza Villa moved.
12 West William Street is located on the first block west of Sandusky Street in downtown Delaware, Ohio.
