The Ohio Department of Transportation, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, and Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments have begun the Route 23 Connect Study to evaluate enhancements along the U.S. 23 corridor to improve safety and traffic flow between I-270 and Waldo.

ODOT is hosting public meetings in August 2024 including onsite and online meetings. The onsite meetings will be held in Lewis Center and Delaware respectfully.

The discussion will center on the future of US 23 through Delaware County — with a few miles of Franklin and Marion Counties included. The road has been divided into eight segments from I-270 to Waldo which has become one of the most congested roadways in Central Ohio.

In-person Meetings

ODOT has scheduled six in-person meetings over two weeks to ensure all interested public members can participate. The meetings will be hosted in an open-house format with no formal presentation. The same information will be available at all in-person meetings. Please stop by to provide input at any time during the meeting hours indicated.

In-Person Meetings 1 & 2

All materials displayed at the public meeting will also be available on the website. If you cannot attend an in-person meeting, ODOT will host two online question-and-answer sessions. A brief presentation will be given at the beginning of each online session. Following this presentation, the project team will answer questions from the public.
