New VA Clinic Coming to Delaware
Columbus Veteran’s Affairs office has announced its fifth community-based outpatient clinic will be housed in Delaware, Ohio.
The “ground-breaking” was held in December for the location in Glenwood Commons and construction is expected to take about eight months. The location is expected to be ready for patients in October or November 2025. According to the press release, there are many decisions to still be made about what services will be offered at the Delaware location.
“The strategic location of this CBOC (community-based outpatient clinic) will help us reach unenrolled Veterans in one of the highest population centers in Central Ohio and bring care closer to home for many Veterans currently using the Marion CBOC. Additionally, this new CBOC will bring more VA healthcare options to one of the fastest-growing areas in Central Ohio and potentially reduce dependence on community care.”
According to the release, there are 7,500 eligible veterans in Delaware County and only half are enrolled in VA healthcare. This will bridge the gap between the locations in Marion and Columbus for many of the areas veterans that have not enrolled due to the required travel.
The Delaware location will be located at 870 Sunbury Road (State Route 37/US 36) Suite 2021 on the city’s east side.
