Alexandria Coffee Shop Closing, For Now

New owners should reopen it soon

Ragamuffin Coffee House in Alexandria has announced that its last day of business will be Saturday, December 28.

Don and Lesa texted those in the rewards system on Monday announcing the pending sale.

“There will be new and experienced owners coming soon,” they promise in the announcement. When they don’t name the new owner it always makes me a little leary that the deal is complete.

Regardless, Ragamuffin has been a favorite of mine going back to when mom lived in Newark and it was a great stop on Ohio 37 from Delaware. Loved the quaint atmosphere but had a lot more room than you anticipated.

Wishing the new owners the best of luckin this goldmine of a location with Intel just up the road.
