Discount retailer Five Below is opening its latest store in Marion, Ohio, on Friday, May 17.

The location is in the Legacy Crossing Shopping Center on McMahan Boulevard just off State Route 95 and US 23. Five Below joins other national retailers Kohl’s, Starbucks, PetCo, and Hobby Lobby.

Five Below will open in Marion on Friday.

Its closest sister store is the Delaware County Polaris Towne Center or the Mansfield store nearly thirty miles away.

Five Below began in 2002 in Wayne, Penn., would open its 100th door in 2008, and its 500th store in 2016. In 2016 it also surpassed $1 billion in global sales. It is now over 1,200 stores across at least forty states.

According to its website, the company exists to allow customers to be “free to let go and have fun in an amazing experience filled with unlimited possibilities priced so low, you can always say ‘yes’ to the newest, coolest stuff!”

The Marion store appears to be a departure from other Central Ohio stores in size – as it appears to be about twice the size of the average store in Columbus.

Five Below stores are usually open from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sundays.
